Sometimes it is not possible to uninstall many security applications using the Add/Remove Programs option in control panel. You can remove or delete your Avast Antivirus completely, by using the official uninstall utility provided by avast!
How to uninstall Avast completely:
- Download aswClear.exe to your desktop.
- Start Windows in Safe Mode.
- Open (execute) the uninstall utility.
- If you installed avast! in a different folder than the default, browse for it.
- Restart your computer.
Now your Avast product should have uninstalled.

My avast antivirus(Pro edition) is about to expire…keeps giving me the warning when I’m online…I have abt 3 days left! Is it wise to uninstall it with this removal tool and reinstall it or what other options do I have for free protection of my PC? Please responses will be welcome and appreciated
