Previously, I told you how you can get an Offline installer for Google Chrome in my post on “Download Google Chrome 1.0.154.43 Standalone Setup”.
But Google has now started offering Standalone Offline Installer for Google Chrome for people who can’t install the auto-updating software or need to perform an offline install of the software.
When you download the Chrome setup from Google Chrome’s site, you’re only downloading the installer for Google Updater. The updater downloads Google Chrome’s full setup and then installs the software.
The offline version of Google Chrome may not auto-update to future browser releases, meaning you could miss important security fixes and feature improvements. Google adds the auto-updating service to Chrome which is installed using the offline setup.
