The .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 provides cumulative roll-up updates for customer reported issues found after the release of the .NET Framework 2.0. In addition, this release provides performance improvements, and prerequisite feature support for the .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1.
There are x86, x64 and ia64 versions of this package, and the package allows you to install the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 without needing to install any .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5 packages.
