Adobe Reader 9.1 Lite Adobe Reader 9.1 Lite is a bloat-free version of the popular PDF viewer, Adobe Reader, brought to you originally by Shark007, the creator of Vista Codec Package. As seen in Windows Add/Remove control panel, the original bloated version uses 202 MB of disk space while the liter version uses only 64 MB.

Lite version characteristics:

  • Removed autorun/desktop shortcuts and converted start menu shortcut to non-advertised.
  • Removed several features and plugins that the average user has no need for
  • Removed Beyond Adobe and Lic. Agreement popups
  • Removed all (auto)update® features
  • Removed AcroRd32Info.exe with no errors in the event log
  • Form filling allowed
  • No dialog asking to help make Adobe Reader better and unneeded stuff removed
