WinRar is the most popular archiving software and my favorite. Now you can get the 
free full version license of WinRAR 3.80 according to a promotion led by PC Welt.
Follow the steps below to get a free license -
1. Visit this Registration page, enter your First name, Last name, Email address, Email address again respectively. Click on Abschicken button.
Note - You may have to use a German Proxy site if you get a message saying: “This offer is not available in your country!”
2. You’ll now get an email containing 2 links. Click on the second link, which will download a ‘rarkey’ file. Extract the key file.
3. Download and Install WinRar 3.80
4. Double click on the registry key to activate it. Alternatively, you can also paste the rarreg.key file in WinRAR folder (located by default in C:\Program Files\WinRAR).

I did as per instructions..it opens up but still says evaluation copy, i did what mayur said in his instructions..so what am i doing wrong…??? i even went to program files and there was already a rarkey.reg there..so what i did was make a copy of the download i got from my email registration link and installed in my program files..still no go…
Plz help or will i get evaluation copy on titlebar of my winrar?

Please use the German proxy site as mentioned above.
First extract the rarreg.key file from rarkey folder. Then paste it to WinRar folder in Program Files (Replace if same file already exists there).
Ty Mayur for the quick response..but when i got the rarreg.key, it didn’t come in any folder..it just came by itself so nothing to extract..so i went to the program files and replaced the one there with the one i had downloaded, and still nothing..but to me it seems maybe file was’t complete..it was like a one kilobyte file..i did view it in winrar and saw my name with the registration numbers which was kind of lengthy..but doesn’t seem to want to register. plz advise as what i should do..i’ve reinstalled winrar again…ty
Wooooooooooooohoooooooooo i have it lol , you have made my day…ty for offering us this to us thru this site..but what i did was go to properties and changed the “open with” which had unknown file and changed it to winrar…so when i reinstalled…it automatically recognized it, and opened with evaluation copy gone from title bar which means its registered.. but what seemed strange is i followed ur instructions to the letter and it wouldn’t register…so once i changed the file type..it was fine..
