Kaspersky 2011 is now launched and like its previous version 2010, Kaspersky 2011 does not allow activation using a license key file i.e. without an activation code. However, one can activate KAV 2011/KIS 2011 with a license key file, using our old tip – How to activate Kaspersky 2010 license using a key file?
Kaspersky 2011 users need to use the fresh tutorial given below.
UPDATE: I’ve removed the old procedure because it was blocked by Kaspersky in new version. Below is a 100% working trick to activate latest version of KAV/KIS 11.0.1.400 using a license key file. Check the new method below:
Activating Kaspersky 2011 license using key file:
1. Open Kaspersky 2011 License Manager (from lower right corner).
2. Click ‘Activate the application with a new license’ button. (Delete any trial key first if you want, by clicking the red X next to the key).
3. Disable your Internet connection (either disable Network adapter from control panel or turn off your modem/router).
4. Select ‘Activate commercial version’ and enter the activation license code as 11111-11111-11111-1111X
5. Click Next, an error dialog box will open saying ‘wrong activation code’ as shown:
6. Click Ok and you will then get the option to activate kaspersky using a key file.
7. Browse to the key location on your computer and activate kaspersky.

i had the same problem but when i disabled internet connection it was working…
You have to disconnect the internet and type 11111-11111-11111-1111X for the code – then it will give you the error message. Click OK and *with internet connection disabled* you will have to find your KEY file that came with your torrent and upload it.
Mine worked but the license is only for 37 days but that’s 37 more days than I had on my trial version.

Theoritically speaking, it can only help those who are looking for piracy..
Reason 1 : Kaspersky Labs no longer provide REG key based activation for their home user product, namely single user license pack or 3 user license pack Internet Security or such.
Reason 2 : Now since Kasersky them self is not supporting REG Key donwload (my.kaspersky.com) from their activation center, then the only way a home or small business user can get the key is from a pirated source..
It is a bad move by kaspersky to turn off this feature !!!! Many of the PC i work in are not connected to live internet and only option left is Microsoft Security Essential for the reason..

I’ve been doing this for a long time, however, today my key has been blacklisted and i disconnected the connection then clicked on active with new lisence, then typed some numbers randomly into the key box. then i clicked to the next buton but it didnt come up to the window with browse box. i was doing this few years until now. hit me back folks.

hey guys… try the above procedure in an offline mode.. it works like a charm..then if the key is not a blacklisted one you would be able to update your KAV/KIS.

After the wrong activation code dialog appear, then i clicked ok. But i cant find the Keyfile word… Is there any problem with my PC or my kaspersky?
Disconnect from the internet just before u click activate after entering “11111-11111-11111-1111X” it will give u an error “unable to connect to server” then show u the keyfile dialog

HEY GUYS!!!! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS!…O.K so im presuming that all of you guys on here want to prolong your internet Kaspersky liscence without buying it again. Well there is an easier way to do so than the way shown on the website….I know it may sound strange but simply change the sate settings on your computer to the date when it was viable…for example if you downloaded trial on 10 th march 2011 and it ran out on 10 th April then change your date on your computer back to tenth of March….o.k you’ll have the wrong date on your somputer but hey you got free Kaspersky for another month…I hope this helps guys
