If you’re like me who wants to get ‘Chrome to Phone’ but was unable to find the app in the Android market, then here is a working way to download and install Chrome to Phone on your Android device. Note: It requires a phone running Android 2.2 Froyo or later.
Google Chrome to Phone Extension is a project consisting of a Chrome Extension, Android App, and supporting AppEngine server that enables users to send links from their Chrome desktop browser to their Android device using Android’s Cloud to Device Messaging service.
Features:
- Send links to browser
- Google Maps links launch the Google Maps app.
- YouTube links launch the YouTube app.
- Selecting phone numbers in Web pages, launches the dialer with the number pre-populated.
- Selected text populates the Android clipboard (long-press on text boxes to get paste option).
- Right click on links and selections.

To download “Chrome to Phone”, just search for ‘Chrome to Phone’ on Android market or use the given QR code. If it is not available in your region, then download its .APK file directly, save the file to SD card, browse the file using a File manager, and install it.

After installing Chrome to Phone app on your Android phone, you also need to install the ‘Google Chrome to Phone Extension’ on your Chrome browser.
Note: Chrome to Phone does not currently supports Google Apps accounts.
