by Mayur on September 4, 2010

in Software

We’ve already covered, How to use Kaspersky Free after end of 30 days trial period? The resetting kaspersky process discussed before was bit typical and required users to perform many steps manually. A nice and simple Kaspersky Reset Tool is here, shared by brandon via comment, which allows you to Rest Kaspersky easily in a few clicks.

Kaspersky Trial Reset Tool (KTR911 by Nikko) is designed to reset kaspersky trial period and lets you use Kaspersky free after end of 30-day trial. The tool supports: Kaspersky PURE, Kaspersky Antivirus 2010, Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, Kaspersky Antivirus 2011, and Kaspersky Internet Security 2011.

To use the tool, you first need to Disable Self-Defense (Open Kaspersky settings > Options and uncheck Enable Self-Defense. Click Ok.) Then Exit Kaspersky from the system tray, run the KTR911 tool and click “Reset Kaspersky”. Now follow the steps as suggested by the reset tool.

Wow ! You’re fantastic . Thank you very very much .

JK September 4, 2010 at 8:54 pm

Unfortunately many anti-virus programs (Kaspersky, McAfee, Panda, Comodo, etc) detect it as a crapware?

Mayur September 4, 2010 at 10:05 pm

I’ve tried it (with KIS 2010), it’s 100% clean and safe.

Brandon September 5, 2010 at 2:32 am

I’ve scanned KTR911 with the following AV’s and here’s the result:
- Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 => CLEAN
- Kaspersky PURE => CLEAN
- Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 => CLEAN
- Norton 360 v4 => CLEAN
- Norton Internet Security 2010 => CLEAN
still don’t trust the big brand names?
of course, if you scan with cheap AV you’ll get false-positive detection …

jolly September 5, 2010 at 6:40 am

does it resets automatically after 30days or we hav to do it manually after every 30 days?

Mayur September 5, 2010 at 9:21 am

No, you’ve to do it manually after every 30 days but it’ll be much easier.

E.T September 6, 2010 at 4:31 pm

I ran it & SONAR Protection ( freom Symantec – Norton360 v4 ) didn’t say anything & my PC doesn’t have any problem now .
this file is 100% Clean & Safe .

Biger September 7, 2010 at 6:39 pm

Thank’s for this resetter!difficult to find for free!good continuation!

Henry Bee September 7, 2010 at 8:00 pm

The reset tool just reports “Unable to identify Kapersky product/version”. I’m using Kapersky PURE 30 day trial. Any suggestions?

Brandon September 8, 2010 at 1:01 pm

I wonder if you ever installed Kaspersky 2011 then uninstall it, but it’s not clean …
If this is the case, try uninstall Kaspersky using Revo Uninstaller then re-install Kaspersky … hope it works ..

Brandon September 8, 2010 at 6:25 pm

This is strange, because KTR911 works with the following steps:
1) Checking if Kaspersky exists (Kaspersky 2011/2010/PURE), if not exists KTR911 will exit the process.
2) If Kaspersky exists then KTR911 will identify the product/version of your Kaspersky (KIS2011/KIS2010/KAV2011/KAV2010/PURE).
3) KTR911 will performs resetting procedures according to your KAspersky product/version. The procedures is defferent for each product/version.

In your case, KTR911 found that Kaspersky exists but unable to identify the product/version.

Please check, If you runs Kaspersky PURE, this path/directory should be exist in your local drive (C:)

“C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky PURE\avp.exe”

victorjc September 8, 2010 at 10:06 pm

Robert September 11, 2010 at 3:12 am

“Activate Trial License”

Henry Bee September 13, 2010 at 4:15 pm

Thanks for reply. No good (yet). avp.exe exists in the folder you suggest (except that my Win 7 is on partition S: not C:) I’m using 32 bit OS though my machine is dual processor AMD.

This shouldn’t make any critical difference though surely ….

VoiD October 1, 2010 at 1:49 am

Apparently they (kaspersky team) have added another anti trial reset measure… I just tried like always to change my PCID like 5 times in regedit and it always managed to recognise it was my PC and that I had 1 day left… -_-

Luckily the file Brondong posted (KTR911_V9.2) worked ! :D

VoiD October 1, 2010 at 1:50 am

I have Win7 64 bit btw ! :P

daki October 1, 2010 at 10:52 pm

Correction, update works fine on 32-bit windows 7, on laptop, but it fails on window XP on PC!!

mandrake October 2, 2010 at 6:20 am

What Kaspersky product are you using (KIS/KAV/PURE 2011/2010)
I found new download link for KTR911 (new version?)
maybe one of them will work fine on your PC
http://www.mediafire.com/?w7i77ed7w9dvjdh
http://www.sendspace.com/file/p3nr7h

hello October 4, 2010 at 2:49 pm

I am running WIndows Vista 64-bit and have followed the instruction to use KTR911 v9.2 and run as administrator. Though I have disabled the self-defense, and exited Kaspersky, I encountered the following error (I did this twice to make sure I had really disabled Kaspersky)

“Kaspersky Self-Defense Enabled!
you MUST disable self-defense before continuing”

HELP :(

LQ October 4, 2010 at 9:26 pm

First a disclaimer – I know nothing.

Hence I want to thank all who have contributed to my education with your comments.

Second – I perused the reg file mentioned earlier and based on nfo there I observed

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP11\settings]
“EnableSelfProtection”=dword:00000001

With the registry editor open, I disabled KIS. Even closed the settings, reopened the settings and checked again. KIS said that self defence was disabled. But regedit said nothing had changed.

I then restarted windows and checked with regedit again. This time I got

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP11\settings]
“EnableSelfProtection”=dword:00000000

I infer from this experiment that it is necessary to restart windows for the disabled state to “take effect”.

Hope this helps.

Third a comment

With this many trial reset tools floating around and apparently differing results based on which version of windows is being used, resetting it becoming almost as much of a hassle as searching for liscenses.

Thanks again to all who have contributed to my education.

nikko October 5, 2010 at 10:35 pm

Hey guys, my Kaspersky says that Nikko.exe has 3 viruses : Trojan.Win32.Rettesser.et, and trojan.BAT.Rettesser.r

Is Kaspersky company trying to keep people away from using Nikko?

Mayur October 15, 2010 at 9:29 am

I scanned it with MSE and Virustotal, seems to be safe & clean. Updated the post with the latest version of KTR911 by Nikko. :)

Brandon October 16, 2010 at 12:45 am

Although there is no virus, a resetter program would be classified as malware by the relevant programs. Yes, you are right Daki … it’s only a way from AV programs (Kaspersky) to keep people away from using resetter program.
So you do not need to worry if KTR911 being classified as malware by antivirus programs, because the fact is there is no virus in KTR911.
KTR911 is just a hack tool but not a virus, hacking tools are very different from the virus.
But of course you have to be careful, not all resetter programs is virus free !

This is Cool,it’s work nicely….

awesome. this has reset the time and got another 1 month for expiry.

Jimmy November 4, 2010 at 9:05 am

the tool works. but can somebody tell me what exactly it changes in KIS2011. When i had KIS2010, i would manually change the PCID entry in regedit. Activator doesn’t change that value in KIS2011. I am interested in knowing exactly what value it changes(and if it can be changed manually). tnx in advance

knight November 5, 2010 at 2:05 pm

i use windows XP 32 bit
i placed my kaspersky folder(include avp.exe) on (D:) directory

is avp.exe must be placed in (C:) directory?
any solution?
please answes my question.. :(

Gokill November 5, 2010 at 10:09 pm

Use KTR911_v10, http://www.mediafire.com/?e8d4vhwgohg1gqo

it should work on any directory (of kaspersky’s installation folder)

Gokill November 5, 2010 at 11:12 pm

There’s always a comment in every failures when running KTR911, What kind of error did you have ?
1) O/S checking
2) Kaspersky’s Product/Version checking
3) Kaspersky’s Self-Defense (Enable/Disable) checking
4) Kaspersky’s Process (ON/OFF) checking
5) Re-Open/Run Kaspersky

Schmoe November 9, 2010 at 12:29 pm

Didn’t work. ‘Unable to determine Kaspersky program version.’

Vorpal November 10, 2010 at 4:19 am

Migueel November 14, 2010 at 5:37 am

PLEASE, ONE DAY LEFT TO EXPIRE and this is isn’t working!

Please update the resetter!

Vorpal November 17, 2010 at 10:48 pm

Would be nice if someone updated this, or at least point us to another direction.. there must be other similar tools out there.I heard there was one that gives kasper virtually unlimited time, can’t find it though :(

This trial reseter (KTR911 by Nikko) don’t work on KIS 11.0.1.400. =(
I tried it on win7 64bits and after pressed the “Reset Kaspersky” button, a regedit process was opened but it didn’t work…
There is something wrong with the reseter or Kaspersky company already updated the product to stop this reseter???

Is that patch safe?

Migueel December 12, 2010 at 7:30 pm
Gokill December 13, 2010 at 9:17 am

@ Migueel
K-Patch v10 is a “Hack Tool” (NOT a virus), so all AV program will classify it as a malicious tool because they don’t want you to hack them.
I personally use it with no problem …
but for you I just can say: Use at your own risk !

Hi Nikko, nice work, but not working with windows 7 sp1 and KIS 11.02.556 (bc). I do this steps:

1-Eliminate any license.
2-Disable self defense.
3-Exit KIS from tray.
4-Run KISPURE25.exe.
5-Activate kis with trial.
6-Reboot.

Until here seems ok but then, if you update kis, and then shut down the computer. After turn it on again, kiss appears not activated.

So its not working. Ill continue with the KTR911 that is working ok for a 30 days period.

Thanks nikko. I would like you can solve it.

KIS loads an unknown application with a reg file in C:\
what’s that for?..

Anonymous February 22, 2011 at 1:16 pm

It’s only temporary regedit proccess for resetting Kaspersky.

Anonymus March 14, 2011 at 11:10 pm

NIKKO your 9131 days crack works perfectly, just have to run the patch and activate the trial license, it instead activates the 25 years license.
Perfect crack, perfect anti-virus

Anonymus March 14, 2011 at 11:13 pm

download his new crack
disable self-defence and exit kaspersky pure from the tray, then run the .exe file.
After that all you have to do is open kaspersky and click on activate trial license, it will automatically give you 25 years of license.
Cheers! Thanks Nikko!

Anonymus March 14, 2011 at 11:13 pm

works 100%…

error404 March 19, 2011 at 12:47 pm

The last version of KTR (KTR11v10) didnt worked for me. Im using Windows 7 sp1 english with spanish languaje MUI. It starts correctly, and I did all the steps before (Turning self defense off, and exittting kis from try icon).

It starts but never appears the activation window, and if i right click on the ktr v10 icon on try it says “Script paused” and i cant uncheck this to let script continue and do its work.

When I use KTR911 v9.2, or v9. Its successfull, i have no problem, -kis resets correctly.
It wonders me what is going on with lastest version.

Thansk on anticipation.

newuser March 20, 2011 at 11:47 am

Worked perfect for me , 9131 days, commercial for 100 computers. Although I cannot be sure if any embedded trojan/malwares are installed through the exe file(possibility is very very less , like 0.001% hehe =) ), does not matter as I dont have any sensitive data to be stolen =).

I would (thank lots)^9131 for Nikko to make this hack available to all of us. thx again

superman March 20, 2011 at 9:35 pm
