LG G3 launched in India at Rs. 47,990 [Features 5.5″ Quad HD display & Laser Autofocus camera]
At a press event in Mumbai today, LG finally launched their latest flagship smartphone ‘the G3‘ in India. The LG G3 has been launched in two variants – 16 GB with 2GB RAM and 32GB with 3GB RAM, priced at Rs. 47,990 and Rs. 50,990 respectively. The company also launched its wearable device “G Watch” at a price of Rs. 14,999. LG also announced the release of 15,000 limited edition BigB G3 smartphones with Amitabh Bachchan’s signature graved on their back panel. With the G3 purchase, LG is offering Rs. 15,000 worth of customer delight offers. This includes a discount of Rs. 5000 on purchase of a G Watch, a free QuickCircle case worth Rs. 3500 and one time free screen replacement worth Rs. 6500.
The LG G3 is a premium and powerful smartphone with a brilliant display, thin bezels, power and volume buttons on the back. The device sports a 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 at 538ppi, is powered by a 2.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The G3 features a 13 MP camera with laser autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS+) and dual-LED dual tone flash. The main camera supports 4K video recording and there is a 2.1 MP front-facing camera. G3 packs 2GB RAM in 16GB variant and 3GB RAM in 32GB variant, and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card. It comes with 1W speaker with Boost Amp, 3000 mAh user-removable battery and Qi wireless charging capability. Despite its big form-factor, G3 measures 8.9mm thick and weighs just 149g.
G3’s Connectivity Options include: 2G, 3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps/ 42 Mbps), 4G LTE, Dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS/ Glonass, NFC, USB 2.0, HDMI SlimPort, Infrared Port, and USB OTG. Software features include: Smart Keyboard, Smart Notice, Knock Code, Guest Mode, Quick Circle, and ability to delete pre-installed apps to free more space.
The G3 comes in 3 colors – Metallic Black, Silk White, and Shine Gold.
