Echofon Windows Twitter client lets you tweet and follow your twitter timeline, mentions, messages, lists, etc. directly from the Windows desktop. One can simply read tweets, post replies, mark as favorite, retweet or retweet with comment. There is an option to set the font size of tweets and the update interval of tweets. Clicking on the user’s twitter handle pops-out a window, using which you can Mute or block a person and disable retweets from them. If you use Echofon on iPhone, then it’s easy to get back from where you left off as it syncs your activity and settings too.

Unlike TweetDeck Windows app, it doesn’t requires Adobe Air. Just download and install it. Then authorize with twitter to let Echofon access your twitter data.

The Kinect for Windows SDK, which works with Windows 7, includes drivers, rich APIs for Raw Sensor Streams, natural user interfaces, installer documents and resource materials. Skeletal Tracking - The SDK has the capability to track the skeleton image of one or two people moving within the Kinect field of view, making it possible to create gesture-driven applications.

Advanced Audio Capabilities - Audio processing capabilities include sophisticated noise suppression and echo cancellation, beam formation to identify the current sound source, and integration with the Windows speech recognition API.

Ease of installation - The SDK quickly installs in a standard way for Windows 7 with no complex configuration required and a complete installer size of less than 100 MB. Developers can get up and running in just a few minutes with a standard standalone Kinect sensor unit widely available at retail.

Extensive documentation - The SDK includes more than 100 pages of high-quality technical documentation. In addition to built-in help files, the documentation includes detailed walkthroughs for most samples provided with the SDK.

As it’s the first public beta version of CCleaner, it has a very limited set of features and supports Safari and Firefox only. It lets Mac users simply Clean Trash, Recent Files & Servers, Temporary folder and their browser stuff such as the Internet Cache, History, Cookies and Download history. The developers are working on more features and anticipate new releases every few weeks, with a final version out in a month or two.

The Beta 2 Candidate of Firefox 5.0 is out and is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. Certainly, this latest beta version will offer more stability and improvements than the former test builds. The beta comes with the new Channel Switcher feature, letting users easily switch to the aurora channel and back to the beta channel.

If you’re on the Aurora channel of Firefox browser then you can update to current Beta by switching the channel to Beta. To do this, click the orange Firefox button, open Help > About Firefox. Then click the ‘Change’ link and select the Beta update channel, click Apply and Update. Firefox will then download the required updates and install them.

Note: This release is NOT the final beta of the next version of Firefox. This build is a copy of aurora re-packaged as beta for testing.

Norton Mobile has recently introduced 2 new products for Android platform: Norton Mobile Security 2.0 and Norton Mobile Utilities, both currently in Beta. These products are being offered Free with a limited license as of now, but will apparently turn into Paid as the final release goes live, specially the Norton mobile security app.

We’ve added many of the great features present in Echofon for Mac and iOS to this version of Echofon for Firefox. You can mute clients, users and hashtags (mute settings sync between devices). Photo previews and photo popups make browsing media a joy. This version includes tabs for search (with trends, and saved search support) as well as lists. There is also a new conversation view and user view. View a user’s tweets, lists, favorites, followers etc.

User Streams

We’ve built in support for user streams which allows you to view tweets immediately when they are posted without reloading. (Note: This feature is disabled for now, pending approval from Twitter)
