The Pirate Bay is a free site that doesn’t requires any registration to access most the content hosted on it. However, being a largely commercial service TPB is monetized and funded by online advertisements, donations, and merchandise. A huge amount of revenue is definitely needed to power such an active organisation and their mega server rooms that distribute indefinite content across the world everyday.

The Pirate Bay Without Any Ads -

We just discovered thepiratebay.ee, an official and new site address of thepiratebay.org. Surprisingly, it’s not just a mirror domain but a lite and ad-free version of The Pirate Bay that serves all the content from the original site but without any of the bloated advertisements, usually seen on the webpages of TPB. The index page aka homepage of the new TPB mirror site is also neat with minimal text and no extra images. TPB freaks would certainly find it amazing to use the new site with an .ee extension!

Update: As pointed out by Lars in comments, the ad-free site of TPB comes with a catch. i.e. only registered users can use the tracker and the subscription fee is $4.99 per month. That’s disappointing.

One can listen to the music online for Free at SoundCloud and there is also an option to download and save the MP3 file to your computer. However, some songs don’t have the Download option as downloading is restricted by the uploader or due to some other limits, like when the free download limit is reached and the uploader don’t wants to pay for extra bandwidth. Fortunately, there are some handy extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox that allows you to download any song from SoundCloud which are set as “listen only”.

SoundCloud Downloader is a free extension for Chrome browser that adds a download button for non-downloadable SoundCloud.com streams. Just right click the download button and select “Save link as…” to download the song as MP3.

Soundcloud SUPER +2: Downloader and Recommender (For Firefox)

Soundcloud SUPER +2 add-on for Firefox allows you to download tracks from SoundCloud and in addition it gives you recommendations! After installing this Add-on you will have a new download button for every track. Just click on the button and save the audio file.

MS has decided to offer Windows 8 in 4 milestones just like they did with Windows 7, i.e. Developer Preview, Beta, RC and RTM. Soon, Windows 8 Developer Preview would be officially available for download both for 32-bit and 64-bit systems. It is a Free download that developers and testers can get to have first impressions of Windows 8 early build. Anyone can download the Windows 8 Developer build without requiring a MSDN or TechNet account. Moreover, you also don’t need to have a Live ID to get it.

Just visit ‘Windows Dev Center’ (http://dev.windows.com/) at 8 PM PT (8:30 AM IST). From there, you can download the Windows 8 Developer Preview and developer tools. You’ll also get the Windows Developer Preview guide, samples, forums, docs and other resources to build on Windows 8.

Windows 8 Test version doesn’t requires an activation and offers no support. Also, Windows 8 preview build requires a clean installation, you cannot upgrade or install it on your current Windows 7 installation.

Note: This is a developer release that is not meant to be used for daily usage as it may encounter bugs and wont be completely stable.

Update: The preview build does not include every feature shown in the Build Keynote.  The Developer Preview release DOES NOT include the Windows Store, Windows Live Metro style apps, and some of the user interface features. The focus of the preview is the API and development tools for building Metro style apps.
