The Google+ official extension might be delighting for G+ addicts and pointless at the same time for the rest of masses. For those who aren’t aware, Google has earlier made available a couple of handy Google+ extensions for Chrome – Google+ Notifications and Google +1 Button. We really expect Google to offer something more engaging that could intensify the experience of Google+ users.

Official Wikipedia App for Android is the free encyclopedia containing more than 20 million articles in 280 languages, and is the most comprehensive and widely used reference work humans have ever compiled. You’re presented with ‘Today’s featured article’ on the app’s home screen with an easy to read text layout, optimized for smartphones. It offers an impressive and useful ‘Save page’ feature, thus to let users save desired articles to read later or when offline.

Other nifty options include: the ability to Share pages, read an article in a different language, Full screen search, check history of recently viewed pages and there is a ‘Nearby’ option that searches for nearby locations on a Google Map. Moreover, there’s a Settings option to set the preferred text font size and default language for Wikipedia app from a list of various languages offered.

~ This is the initial version of app that has been installed by a very fair amount of Android users. We hope for some future updates that would make it more amazing.

AdSense Publisher Toolbar is a great and handy Chrome extension, allowing users to view their adsense account earnings in an overlay without visiting Adsense site and from any webpage in Chrome. Apparently, it is weird to see that Google named this cool extension as a toolbar which it’s certainly Not. It’s a boon for those interested in checking their site earnings several times a day. Account earnings summary are displayed for today, yesterday, this month, last month. It also shows Top 5 custom channels and even the ‘Lifetime revenue’ generated from the linked Adsense account.

Besides just showing your income, the extension has another amazing feature ‘In-site ad overlay’ that shows instant summary of each ad unit’s earnings (today, yesterday, last 7 days) running on your site and also the ad unit size. To enable ad overlays, simply visit your site and tick mark the ‘Show ad overlays’ option from within the extension. Instantly, you will be able to see earnings summary for every individual ad unit directly on your site. This is something really impressive that could help users in determining how their ad units are performing.

The latest twitter update makes it easier for everyone to view and interact with tweets on the web in the same ways as you do from any twitter client. Twitter has now added the functionality to embed tweets or any conversation to a site or blog in a few clicks without needing any extra skills. You just need to copy and paste a few lines of code.

Steps to simply embed a tweet to a website:

1. Visit your or anyone else twitter profile. Then tap on the desired tweet or click Open to see the Details option.

2. Click on ‘Details’, so the permalink page of that particular tweet opens up.

3. Tap on ‘Embed this Tweet’ and a pop-up will appear. Choose the preferred alignment, copy the HTML code and paste it to the HTML section of your site or blog post.

It’s even more easier to embed Tweets on WordPress or Posterous Spaces.

WordPress bloggers can embed Tweets directly into their posts by simply copying the Tweet URL or using a familiar shortcode. Once published, WordPress instantly turns that URL or shortcode into an embedded Tweet.

The Pirate Bay is a free site that doesn’t requires any registration to access most the content hosted on it. However, being a largely commercial service TPB is monetized and funded by online advertisements, donations, and merchandise. A huge amount of revenue is definitely needed to power such an active organisation and their mega server rooms that distribute indefinite content across the world everyday.

The Pirate Bay Without Any Ads -

We just discovered thepiratebay.ee, an official and new site address of thepiratebay.org. Surprisingly, it’s not just a mirror domain but a lite and ad-free version of The Pirate Bay that serves all the content from the original site but without any of the bloated advertisements, usually seen on the webpages of TPB. The index page aka homepage of the new TPB mirror site is also neat with minimal text and no extra images. TPB freaks would certainly find it amazing to use the new site with an .ee extension!
