- MP3 Cutter lets you cut or trim an audio file to remove unnecessary parts. To do so, you simply need to select the file, select the start and end position during playback, and then click Save. One can customize the output settings such as bitrate, rate and channels. It also has the ability to cut a part of music from a video file, or a movie.

- MP3 Recorder helps users to record any sound from the microphone to standard MP3 format without any limitation on length. One can even record streaming audio provided that the sound card supports sound mixing. Simply select the sample rate, bitrate and channels, then proceed with the audio recording.

Nokia has finalised a new tune for its next-generation handsets and smartphones. Four weeks ago, Nokia invited its fans to create the Nokia brand of the future in the form of the Nokia Tune contest. The contest gathered around 6238 entries from 70 countries and 166,674 votes, the contest winning tune is composed by Valerio Alessandro Sizzi.

Nokia Tune Dubstep Edition is pretty different with a touch of rap and pop music. It apparently represents the current generation voice and might be liked and disliked, depends on your taste. The new Nokia ringtone will be made available on some 100 million devices and the winner Sizzi, is entitled to get $10,000 as a prize.

“What made the ‘Nokia Tune Dubstep Edition’ stand out was its energy and unbridled exuberance. We were looking for a fresh, engaging, original yet distinctive Nokia Tune version, and the winner delivers all of that in a very interesting way.” said Julian Treasure, one of the contest judges.

We previously shared a detailed guide on ‘How to Download Music/Songs from Grooveshark for Free’ and a simple program called “SciLor’s grooveshark.com Downloader” which did the same task in an easier way. Perhaps, both our previous tips were quite uneasy for novice users and required to undergo a bunch of steps to attain the result. Eventually, a new Firefox add-on is here which makes this job really simple and lets users download songs from Grooveshark in MP3 format directly without any hassle.

Groove Shredder is an extension for Firefox that enables you to download music for Free directly from Grooveshark.com, a very popular and amazing online music service. Upon playing the desired music file, the add-on directly shows a window pop-up to save the selected audio file in MP3 format. One can change the file name before saving and the default filename can be customized in the preferences. It also adds a button to navigation toolbar which allows you to easily toggle Groove Shredder on or off.

However, it seems the song being downloaded wont start playing online at Grooveshark until the download is completed or has been cancelled. Also, the downloading cannot be paused and resumed later which occurs because GS is a live streaming music service.

Note: This is an early release of this extension and it may not work properly every time. Therefore, the author asks to submit your Feedback and bug reports if any.
