To use TinEye, one needs to upload an image or enter image address using their web interface to look for similar images. Luckily, we found a handy TinEye Client for Windows that adds TinEye to the context menu of image files and makes the task more easier.

TinEye Client is an unofficial extension for Windows that allows you to look for similar images on TinEye directly from the Windows Explorer context menu. It is a simple and elegant tool, you can use TinEye client app to choose an image file from a folder or paste an image copied to clipboard. It supports shell-integration, means you can just right-click an image on computer that automatically uploads to TinEye and shows the relevant results in browser. There is 1-click option to enable/disable TinEye option in context menu. The tool also lets you set the default sort order for resulting images.

WhatIsMySEORank (abbreviated as WIMSR), is an entirely new and unique concept developed specially for webmasters and bloggers. WIMSR provides a simple, fast and effective way to check you site ranking in Google search results (Google.com), which if done manually can take a lot of time, assuming your site is not listed on the first few pages. This online tool is 100% Free to use and doesn’t requires any registration.

Why use WIMSR?

Certainly, you will think ‘What’s the use of this tool? It’ll not change my site rankings in search and wont place it on top’. That’s quite true but this service tells how well your site is performing in Google Search, which is the most influential source of organic traffic. Considering the results, you can improve the article SEO (Tile, Description, Keywords) and try your best to make it rank better if you feel it deserves that. The tool states on which page your site is appearing and at which position. We’ve also designed a Bookmarklet for WIMSR, that reads the title and website address to quickly show the ranking for any webpage.

WhatIsMySEORank shows the results from Google’s search global domain ‘Google.com’. Hence, you might not see exactly the same results as you see on your regional Google search domain like google.co.in or google.co.uk. Results might also differ by a fair extent even if you try them on google.com because Google shows slightly different results based on your geographic location. Such thing happens very rarely though!

Points to note:

1. Does not include + More results (Show more results from xyz)

2. Ignores Starred Results to provide most accurate results

3. Results appearing beyond first 100 results of Google are not listed in results

4. Considers 10 results on a single page (by default in Google)

But that’s currently not possible because Google Plus web interface only has a search option to Find people and Not its content. However, you can easily Set Google+ as a search engine in Chrome browser or make it your default search engine. See how:

1. Click on the Wrench icon in Google Chrome and select Options.

2. Under Basics, move to Search and click on Mange Search Engines

3. Scroll down to Other Search Engines and fill in the below mentioned entries:

- Input Google+ in ‘Add a new search engine’ box.

- Input posts in ‘Keyword’ box.

- Input the below line in ‘URL with %s in place of query’ box.

{google:baseURL}search?q=site:plus.google.com inurl:posts/* %s

That’s it. Set it as your default search engine if you want!

Now, just type posts in Chrome’s address bar and select the option in drop-down that says Search Google+ for <enter query> – (Keyword: posts)

Don’t worry you don’t have to remember that – it appears automatically. Once you have selected that Search Google+: will show up. Then just type in your keywords or search query to search among all the posts and profiles on Google+.

According to Google:

It’s called +1 — the digital shorthand for “this is pretty cool.” To recommend something, all you have to do is click +1 on a webpage or ad you find useful. These +1’s will then start appearing in Google’s search results.

Click +1 to publicly give something your stamp of approval. Your +1′s can help friends, contacts, and others on the web find the best stuff when they search.

The +1 button appears next to each search result.

After pressing +1 button, you have the option to Undo the action immediately.

To start +1’ing things, you’ll need to create a Google profile (Google+) or if you already have one, upgrade it to Google+. To see +1’s in your Google search results you must be logged into your Google Account. (Currently not available)

Check +1s done by you: If you’re using Google+ already, then you’ll find a +1’s Tab in your profile where all of your +1’s are listed in one place. You can view them and delete those you no longer want to recommend. Likewise, Undo option appears here too.

It appears that +1 will officially rollout just after Google opens the Google+ doors for everyone. Google aims to provide better and more relevant results by combining and including all the social content in its search. Let’s see how it goes.

P.S. I didn’t participated in any experiment, was just lucky to get a sneak peek of it.

This is what Google says about its new SE ranking update:

This update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. At the same time, it will provide better rankings for high-quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on.

To determine if recent Google algorithm has affected your website SE traffic, check it easily by analysing your site’s organic traffic in past few days using Google Analytics:

Just visit Google Analytics > Traffic sources > Search Engines and choose ‘Google’ (organic) as the traffic source. Now examine your site’s organic traffic by seeing its growth or fall after Feb 24. Fortunately, this update hasn’t impacted our organic traffic.
