The social networking giant Facebook, recently introduced a whole lot of new features, most of which seems inspired from Google+. Facebook has made it easier to share stuff with who you want, bigger photos with faster loading, Improved Friend Lists, Subscribe option. Just yesterday, Facebook introduced News Feed that shows up Top stories and Recent stories from your stream. There’ve also integrated a Ticker in right sidebar at the top that shows updates and activity from your friends in real-time.

Apparently, most Facebook users aren’t really impressed with the New Facebook layout saying that it’s confusing and tough to handle the bloat of updates being bombarded now. The new Real-time Ticker in sidebar pushes feeds instantaneously just like Twitter. If you’re finding the Ticker annoying and want to get a bit of OLD Facebook layout back, then you can easily get rid of that ticker in Google Chrome and Firefox browser.

Hide Facebook SideBar Ticker (For Chrome)

This is a handy extension for Chrome that disables the ticker and prevents if from appearing in sidebar on Facebook. It even hides the sponsored ads shown in sidebar.

Remove Facebook Sidebar Ticker (For Firefox)

This is a userscript for Firefox that removes the new annoying ticker from the sidebar. It requires Greasemonkey add-on to be installed.

TweetZ is an amazing and easy to use gadget for Windows 7 and Vista which allows users to access their twitter account right from desktop, without opening any browser.

How many times have you been wondering whether a process you found in the Task Manager is a virus or a safe Windows file? Quite a few times, I bet. Let’s face it – an average computer user doesn’t know all that much about processes running in the background.

Fortunately, there is a better and faster way to find out all about different processes running on your computer – a new process library Fileinspect.com. Not only will it help you identify malware, but also fix legitimate Windows processes errors.

There is a number of other websites that have processes descriptions, but those descriptions are automatically generated and, to be honest, not particularly useful if you are trying to fix process-related errors. As a result, you spend even more time on Google and forums trying to find the fix.

That’s where File Inspect Library comes. Instead of providing generic descriptions, the site offers tips and various fixes for possible errors. Go to the website, do a search for svchost.exe and see yourself. You will find a detailed article in plain English that explains what is svchost.exe and how to fix high svchost CPU usage.

The site is interactive, so if you have any information regarding processes, you can share it with others in your comments.

And that’s not all – Windows Vista and Windows 7 users can download a free Fileinspect Sidebar Gadget.

This tool displays the most resource-heavy processes running on your computer, so you don’t have to have the Task Manager open to monitor processes. If you want to see a detailed description of a process, click on the magnifying glass sign and get all the information you need.

The site is still in Beta, so not all processes have a detailed description. But I’m sure the developers of the site are going to make the site more informative and useful.

I had a lot of desire to use the Windows Vista Sidebar in XP as it looks cool and helpful also. So today, I found a special sidebar for use in XP which has original icons and support for all kind of Gadgets from the Live Gallery.

This is the Original sidebar from Windows Vista and is not made or modified by any person. No one can determine if you are using XP or Vista. You can also add more gadgets to it by downloading them from widgets gallery. See the screenshots below of the sidebar in action.

This sidebar looks awesome and provides an original Vista look to your XP system. I am really impressed to use it and will also prefer you to please try it out.
