Classic Retweet brings Old Retweet feature to New Twitter

By now New Twitter has been rolled out for everyone and you must have noticed that it misses the old school Retweet (RT) button. The Old RT feature was pretty useful as users were able add some text or edit others tweet before retweeting it.

Classic Retweet is a handy add-on/extension for Firefox and Chrome which enables Old Retweet in new twitter by adding an extra ‘Classic RT’ button. The service also offers a bookmarklet which you can use to get Old RT button temporarily on other browsers.

Mayur, thanks for this tips. I’m using a different extension on Chrome called Retweet Old School. Another get extension for Twitter is called ParrotFish from Embedly. That one lets you preview content from links including video and audio. It’s pretty sweet.
