Airtel Digital tv is engaging in massive fraud. I smsed BUY to 54325 to get details of the connection. One executive called and after discussion paid Rs 999 for the connection. She gave me a transaction ID and said customer ID will be smsed in a couple hours. I never received it nor any serial code or activation code. Connection has not been given and it is now close to 2 weeks. Their customer service is so bad…they say they will take complaint but put you on hold and cut the call. Complaints are closed without taking action. When I call they ask for customer ID and I tell them I never received it. After 15 such calls I have thoroughly given up. They have absolutely no record of me paying the money but my credit card has been charged for the amount and I have transaction ID that they gave. I submit my complaint at consumer court i.e. and then mails to [email protected] are never replied even I have contacted to the Nodal officer. This is a complete nightmare and I never expected this from Airtel. All in all they have cheated me of Rs 999 and they are not going to give connection. This is the most pathetic customer service experience I have had in my life. My sincere advise to anyone reading this, please please dont go for Airtel Digital tv.
That’s a strange case and is not same for all. I recently booked Airtel Digital TV HD via phone and made the payment with Credit card. The executive provided me with a Transaction ID. My DTH was installed the very next day in just 24hrs. Also, I got the Customer ID on my mobile via SMS in few hours.

Airtel DTH horrible experience. Neither Airtel nor their retailers care for the customers. I, unfortunately went for a n airtel DTH. Here in Pune there is a retailer M/s VISHWAS AGENCIES in Ambegaon area of Pune. Installed the DTH with an Invoice for Rs. 1690/- and clearly mentioning two months Mega Pack free.However today the service got disconnected. When contacted the retailer was not in a position to tell what went wrong and told will call back in 30 mts. He didnt call back for 90 mnts. When called back said the system problem and will see what can be done.But the approach was very unbusinesslike.There were exchange of words and that meant nothing to them.In the evening I again called them simply to note that twice they disconnected the call. Later they called & said that the Free pack was for 40 days only and not 60 days and that Ishould recaharge and also that some one in their office was not aware???. Attitude was shocking. I am so irritated that I wish to through away this Airtel DTH and go for some other. I dont know which one is good .. vilas
