Here is a nice trick to fool out your friends by modifying the value of your Registry and changing your old Processor details (P4, Dual Core) to any other new Processor (Quad Core). This can be done easily by doing a simple change to your registry settings.
Follow the Simple Steps Below:
- Go To Start>Run>Regedit
- Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Hardware > Description > System > Central Processor > 0
- On Right Hand Side Right Click On Processor Name String And then Click On
Modify And Write What Ever You Want - So now I have Quad Core (Intel(R) Quad Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz)

Haha, cool one.
This will make my friends envy :D.
I think if you really want to impress your friends (at least if they know anything about anything), you probably want “Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad”. Core 2 Duo is the trademarked name for the dual (Duo = 2) core processor–though not sure why the TM is after Core, I guess Core is the only TMd part. Core 2 Quad is the trademarked name for the quad (4) core version. “Quad Core” is a descriptive term and would not be trademarked. But if you’re doing this, why not go all out and use the Intel Core 2 Extreme anyway.
(Pentium 4) x 4 == Quad core 2 Duo => really(speed) talk me??????please
thanks
