How to Take Screenshots on Sony Xperia Z / Xperia ZL

Sony recently launched their new flagship smartphone ‘XPERIA Z’, a premium designed phone backed by a brilliant hardware and impressive specs. The Sony Xperia Z is a beautiful device powered by Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (1.5 GHz Quad-core CPU), runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, features a 5” Full HD Reality Display with a screen resolution of 1080×1920 at 443 pixels per inch with Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 13 MP rear camera with Exmor RS and 2 MP front facing camera, 2GB RAM, significantly improved battery life with Battery STAMINA mode, and is just 7.9mm thin. The device features durable glass panels on the front and back, and surprisingly the phone is water resistant up to 1 meter and dust resistant as well.

Taking screenshots on Xperia Z – There are 2 ways to take snapshots or capture screen on Xperia Z / Xperia ZL.

Method 1 – As the phone runs on Jelly Bean, you can use the native screen capturing ability to take screenshot by “pressing the power button and volume down key simultaneously for around 2 seconds”. The screenshot will be then saved to the default location in the Gallery (Pictures > Screenshots directory in the internal storage).

Method 2 – Press the Power button to open the power options. Now tap on the last option ‘Take Screenshot’. Open Gallery > Screenshot folder to access the screenshots.
