HTC Desire gets Android 2.2 Froyo Firmware Update

HTC has recently released Android 2.2 Firmware and HTC Sense Over The Air (FOTA) update for their HTC Desire smartphone. You can now download the latest Android Froyo 2.2 software update for new features and improved performance.

The system update version 2.09.405.8 is a 90 MB download, so it is recommended to use a free Wi-Fi connection or an unlimited data plan to apply this update. Updating firmware won’t delete any of your content.

After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by checking the Firmware version. To check firmware, from the Home Screen go to MENU >  Settings >  About Phone >  Firmware version. The new Firmware version will be 2.2.
