HTC has finally started rolling out the much awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update for HTC One users in India. The software update version 4.20.707.7 which is 330MB in size is now available Over the air (OTA) for download. The update brings the latest version of Android i.e. v4.4.2 KitKat to HTC One along with other important enhancements and bug fixes.
As you can see, the update introduces Cloud print service, new Bluetooth profiles, security enhancements, improved memory management and more. HTC has removed Adobe Flash support from its stock browser that has now been updated to use Google’s Chromium engine. The battery icon in status bar has been changed to white and now you’ll notice a splashing sound on tapping the capacitive buttons. You can set default SMS app to Hangouts, view Process stats in Developer options, and Downloads directory has been greatly improved.
To check for update, head over to Settings > About > Software updates. It’s recommended to download the update over Wi-Fi.
