iPad 2 coming to India on April 29th, priced at Rs. 29,500

Usually, Apple products are always delayed in India and Apple is deemed to use India as a dumping ground for their outdated devices, like was the case with original iPad that was officially launched in India almost a year after its initial availability in the US.

But here’s some real surprising news from OnlyGizmos, confirming that the recently released Apple iPad 2 will be officially launched next week in India on April 28-29th. It is stated that iPad 2 is coming to 13 more countries and India seems to be in that list. The iPad 2 is expected to be retailed through Vijay Sales, Croma, and Reliance iStores.

As for iPad 2 pricing in India, it will most probably be the same as the initial pricing of iPad in India. Below is the expected pricing for iPad 2 (Wi-Fi) and iPad 2 (Wi-Fi + 3G).

Update: A lot of people were skeptic about the iPad 2 launching in India but it’s now confirmed that iPad 2 will be hitting the Indian shelves within a day or two. Apple’s reseller ‘Vijay Sales’ just confirmed it via their official profile @VijaySales on twitter.
