I used BitDefender Online Scanner and it proved quite efficient. It detected and cleaned my files without any problems. I don’t know about the others, but this one surely makes its job alright.

While most of these online virus scanners are good and will give you information on the type of virus infecting you system they fail to effectively clean and disinfect it. I recommend using a few virus scanner locally or paying for one, its a very small investment however its priceless if it keeps your system running in good health.

It’s good to scan without installing the antivirus software that slows down your computer, but online scanners can never keep your computer as clean & healthy as the one that is installed using the genuine CD. One must also have a high-speed internet connection!
