How to Manually Install .APK files on Android Phones

Below is a simple method to manually transfer and install Android Package (APK) files on Google Android Smartphones. Follow the steps below to install .apk files easily.

1. Download “Astro File Manager” from Android market on your phone and Install it.

2. Connect your phone to computer and copy all the .apk files to your SD memory card. [See: How to Transfer files between PC & Android phone over Wi-Fi]

3. Browse the .apk files through Astro File Manager, click on the file, and select the ‘Open App Manager’ option.

4. Now click the ‘Launch’ button to install the app without needing android market.

    Thanks very much. It is working perfectly but there is one problem, after installing the names in the list are truncated horizontally means I could see only the top part of the name.
