A fortnight back, LeEco (formerly known as LeTv) officially started its operations in India by launching the Le Max and Le 1S. Le Max is a high-end premium smartphone priced at 32,999 INR whereas Le 1s is a mid-range phone packing some great specs and quality hardware at a competitive pricing of 10,999 INR. The company is aggressively advertising Le 1s as it’s a budget and ‘true value for money’ smartphone that’s highly demanding among Indians. Just yesterday, LeEco sold 70,000 units of Le 1s in 2 seconds in its first flash sale exclusively on Flipkart which is pretty amazing considering LeEco is a new brand just stepped in India. We got to try both these devices at the launch for a short while and are here to share their key features and hands-on pictures.

Though both the above phones pack a punch in their particular segment, we strongly feel that ‘Le 1s‘ will do exceptionally well in Indian market because of its killer specs and beautiful design followed by sweet pricing. On the other hand, Le Max would have a hard time as it’s pretty costly and a couple of devices boasting Snapdragon 820 chipset are round the corner. Let’s wait and watch!
