Norton Mobile Security (Beta) App for Android

We’ve previously discussed about Dr.Web for Android and AVG’s DroidSecurity, both are reliable and Free Antivirus for Android. Symantec, the most popular maker of security software has now stepped in to offer smart protection and security to Android devices.

Norton Mobile has recently introduced 2 new products for Android platform: Norton Mobile Security 2.0 and Norton Mobile Utilities, both currently in Beta. These products are being offered Free with a limited license as of now, but will apparently turn into Paid as the final release goes live, especially the Norton mobile security app.

Norton Mobile Security (Beta) aims to protect your Android mobile phone, personal data from cybercriminals and offers Web protection to keep secure while you are online. It gives you Anti-Phishing web protection, Anti-Theft Remote Locate, Lock and Wipe capabilities in case your device is lost or stolen. Other smart features include Call and SMS blocking from unwanted callers and Norton strength Anti-Malware protection.

This is a Beta app that will be updated in future to improve and provide new features. Testers can submit their feedback or any comments to the Norton Mobile forum.
