Sharing Wi-Fi passwords between iOS devices is simple, provided you meet the prerequisites. However, sharing a Wi-Fi password from iPhone to Android isn’t as straightforward unless you know the actual password of the Wi-Fi network your iPhone is connected to.
If you’ve forgotten your Wi-Fi password and need to use it on a non-iOS device, this used to be a hassle. For years, iPhones didn’t display the Wi-Fi security key anywhere in Settings, leaving users with no direct way to retrieve it.
Thankfully, starting with iOS 16 and continuing through iOS 18 and iOS 26, Apple removed this limitation. You can now easily view and manage Wi-Fi passwords directly on your iPhone or iPad – without jailbreaking, using a Mac/PC, or accessing your router’s settings.
Why You Might Need to See Your Wi-Fi Password
You may want to see a saved Wi-Fi password on your iPhone to share it with friends or family, especially if they’re using a non-Apple device. This also comes in handy when you:
- Don’t remember the password of an already connected Wi-Fi network.
- Need to log in again after resetting network settings.
- Want to reconnect a device to a previously saved network.
On iPhones running iOS 18, iOS 26 (and even iOS 16/17), it’s simple to view the password of your current network as well as saved networks. To protect your privacy, the device requires authentication via Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode before revealing the password.
How to View Saved Wi-Fi Password in iOS 18/iOS 26 on iPhone
- Open the Settings app and go to Wi-Fi.

- Turn on the Wi-Fi, if it isn’t already.
- In the Wi-Fi list, tap the Info (i) button next to the network your iPhone or iPad is connected to.

- To see the WiFi password of a network, tap anywhere on the Password field.

- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

- Tap Copy to copy and share the password in plain text.

How to See Saved Wi-Fi Networks on iPhone
In iOS 15 and earlier, you could only view the currently connected network and nearby ones. Starting with iOS 16, Apple allows you to view and manage all Wi-Fi networks you’ve previously joined.
This feature lets you:
- Find the password of a saved network.
- Forget old or unused Wi-Fi networks.
- Disable Auto-Join for specific networks.
To view saved Wi-Fi networks in iOS 18 & iOS 26:
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap Edit in the top-right corner.

- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
- You’ll see a list of all saved Wi-Fi networks.

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network:
- Tap the red minus (-) button next to the network you want to remove.
- Tap Delete and then Done in the top-right corner.

- Tap Remove to confirm.

Note: Removing a saved Wi-Fi network will also delete it from other devices using iCloud Keychain. Currently, iOS does not offer a way to delete all saved Wi-Fi networks at once.
