Want to remove Reels you’ve watched on Facebook? While Facebook doesn’t have a separate Reels history, it stores both watched Reels and videos under Videos you’ve watched. From there, you can delete individual Reels from your watch history or clear your entire video watch history.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to delete watched Reels on Facebook using the Facebook app on Android and iPhone, as well as the desktop website.
How to Delete Watched Reels on the Facebook App
Follow these steps to remove watched reels from your Facebook watch history on Android and iPhone:
- Open the Facebook app.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top-right and select Activity log.

- Tap the Search option in the top-right corner, scroll down, and select Videos you’ve watched.

- Find the Reel or video you want to delete.
- Tap the three-dot icon next to it and select Delete.

The selected Reel will be immediately removed from your watch history.
Note: Facebook stores watched Reels and regular videos together under Videos you’ve watched. Every Reel appears simply as “watched a video,” and there’s no option to filter Reels separately. You can, however, see the date and time each item was viewed.

Here’s how to remove individual watched Reels from your Facebook watch history on a computer.
- Visit Facebook.com in a browser and sign in to your account.

How to Clear Facebook Watch History
Instead of deleting watched Reels one by one, you can clear your entire Facebook watch history at once. This removes both watched Reels and regular videos.
To clear or delete Facebook Reels history at once:
On Mobile
- Open the Facebook app and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top-right and select Activity log.
- Tap Your Facebook activity dropdown menu.

- Expand the Posts section, tap See more, and select Videos you’ve watched.

- Tap Clear Video Watch History and select Clear to confirm.

On Desktop
- Visit the Facebook website on a computer and sign in to your account.
- Click your profile icon.
- Navigate to Settings & privacy > Activity log.
- Select Videos you’ve watched.
- Click Clear Video Watch History.

- Confirm by selecting Clear Video Watch History.

What Happens When You Delete Your Watch History?
When you delete your Facebook watch history, Facebook removes the entries from the Videos you’ve watched section. This affects both Reels and videos stored in your viewing history.
Deleting your watch history only removes entries from your viewing history. It doesn’t affect other activity associated with those Reels or videos.
- Liked Reels remain liked. Your reactions aren’t removed. If you want to manage them, see our guide on how to see your liked Reels on Facebook.
- Saved Reels stay in your Saved collection. You can still access them later. Learn how to find saved Reels on Facebook.
- Your comments and shares aren’t deleted. Those interactions remain on Facebook.
- Your own Reels and videos aren’t affected. Only your watch history is cleared.
If you only want to remove a few watched Reels, it’s better to delete them individually instead of clearing your viewing history completely.
Can’t Delete Watched Reels?
Can’t find a Reel you watched? During my testing, I noticed that Facebook doesn’t always record every watched Reel or video under Videos you’ve watched. If the Reel isn’t listed there, you won’t be able to remove it from your viewing history. In my experience, refreshing the page or waiting a while didn’t make those missing items appear either.
